We are 3,5 km from both the 8 place Grand Massif Express lift in Samoens or the 12 place
Morillon lift, both with ample free parking.
Cross country skiing is extensive both in the valley alongside the Giffre river or at 1700m at the Joux Plane col, with amazing views over the Mont Blanc range.
Other activities include ski mountaineering and snowshoeing catering for all levels from beginners to experts. You can go for a walk on snowshoes from the gîte !
Excellent walking area in all seasons. Enjoy the historic village of Samoens,
the sunny little hamlets dotted all over the mountain,
the walk up to Joux Plane with glorious views over to Mt Blanc from the gîte (9,5km)….the possibilities are endless.

Cultural activities Guided tours of the villages explaining their historical and cultural significance, regular art exhibitions at les Ecuries du Château in Samoëns or la Chartreuse de Mélan. The Ecomusee at Clos Parchet, just above Mathonex, is a museum explaining how people farmed and lived in Haute Savoie
