Walking.
The valley has nearly 900km of paths covering an enormous variety. The valley floor is wide and flat for easy walking along the Giffre river. Higher up there are many varied places to discover : the Fer à Cheval (literally, Horsehoe mountain) , the waterfalls at Rouget, the Dents Blanches, the Buet….an endless choice of superb walks offering breathtaking views across to Mont Blanc and nearby Switzerland.

Climbing. All levels catered for with a climbing wall in town and a via ferrata.

In Samoens there is a large market every Wednesday morning, a botanic garden, guided tours round the village and surrounding areas and lotsof shops and cafes selling local produce
